Elizabeth Bigham received a B.S. degree in Criminology from Florida State University in 2005. She has been a Special Agent (S/A) with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) for close to fifteen years and prior to that was employed as the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Coordinator for the state of Georgia. As the CIT Coordinator, her responsibilities were to coordinate trainings for local law enforcement across the state of Georgia in how to deal with those that suffer from mental illness. After becoming a Special Agent, she spent approximately six years assigned to the Atlanta and Athens Regional Office. While assigned to those offices, she worked various criminal cases to include homicide, armed robbery, child abuse/molestation, theft, aggravated assault, and rape. In July of 2013, she transferred to the Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit (CEACC), and she has been there ever since. She works proactive and reactive investigations involving crimes against children on the Internet to include possession/distribution/manufacturing of child pornography, solicitation of minors via the Internet, and the commercial sex trafficking of minors.She is a certified instructor and has received hundreds of hours in training relating to child exploitation cases and child sexual abuse material cases. She instructs on the topic nationwide. She also sits on the board of a non-profit out of Idaho that teaches nationwide on how predators groom their victims and how to incorporate the evidence relating to that behavior into your investigation.
