Missouri Legal Update 2020-2021
The Missouri Legal Update by Amanda Callaway provides a comprehensive review of all new and amended laws in the state of Missouri from the 2020 legislative session. These laws went into effect August 28, 2020, unless they contained an emergency clause. This presentation includes citation to the state statute and the Senate Bill (SB) or House Bill that impacts it. The course is broken into three sections: Crimes, Controlled Substances, and General Laws Impacting Law Enforcement.

Amanda Callaway is a licensed Missouri attorney. After graduating from Drury University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in both English and writing, Amanda attended the University of Missouri School of Law. She graduated in 2009 with a Juris Doctorate Degree and a Certificate in Dispute Resolution. Amanda began her legal career as an Assistant City Attorney at the City of Springfield, Missouri. During her time at the City of Springfield she worked as the Springfield Police Department Legal Advisor for seven years until she took the position of City Attorney for Ozark, Missouri, in 2017. Amanda is licensed to practice law in Missouri and the United States District Court Western District of Missouri. Amanda has been a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police and a member of their Legal Officer’s Section since 2012. Amanda is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, Christian County Bar Association, Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association, and International Association of Chiefs of Police. Additionally, she is a Past President of the Southern Missouri Women Lawyers.
