Human trafficking is a growing problem throughout the world. This presentation focuses on what human trafficking is and provides information for 9-1-1 telecommunicators on how to recognize a possible victim or witness in a human trafficking call for service.

Cherie Bartram, ENP has 38 years of experience in the 9-1-1 profession. She started as a call taker in the city of Lakewood, Colorado, and worked her way up from call taker to dispatcher. She has acted as director at St. Clair County Central Dispatch center. She is currently Executive Director at the South East Regional Emergency Services Authority as well as an Institute Board Member with the National Emergency Number Association (NENA).
