I have attended 26 classes/conferences specific to cellular telephone investigations/mobile device forensics. Of those 26 classes/conferences, I have received 558 hours of formal classroom instruction related to cellular telephone/mobile device forensics and investigations. Cellular telephone forensics/mobile device forensics constitutes the majority of my specialized training. I have obtained three certifications in cellular telephone/mobile device forensics. I have also attended 6 of classes/conferences specific to computer forensics. Of these 6 classes/conferences, I have received 185.5 hours of instruction related to computer forensics. I have obtained one certification in computer forensics. Since April 2012, I have completed forensic examinations on more than 1,500 mobile devices. Since June of 2009 I have analyzed and mapped over a thousand cell phone records and cell tower locations. I have been accepted as an Expert for testimony on Cell Phone Forensics / Call Detail Record Analysis over 25 times in several Local District Courts, State Circuit Courts and Federal Court (Eastern District of Michigan). I am also an instructor for a private company, Police Technical, in which I teach a basic “Cell Phone Investigations” class across the country. I was hired in March of 2014 and have taught over 1,000 students to date. Aside from instructing for PoliceTechnical, I have instructed approximately 30 members of the Dearborn Police Detective Bureau, Narcotics Bureau and Special Operations Bureau on Cell Phone Investigations. I have also instructed all Patrol members during annual In-Service Training on proper seizure and securing of digital evidence. I have also instructed approximately 120 officers from around the country at the 2016 and 2017 Dallas Crimes Against Children Conference related to Call Detail Record Mapping and Analysis.
