About the Course
This course is designed to provide officers with a working knowledge of basic firearms safety in relation to the operation and maintenance of the Springfield Armory XD pistol.

Greg Lee
Greg Lee is a retired police officer with 33 years of law enforcement and military experience. He began his career in the United States Air Force in 1981 as a law enforcement specialist. In 1984 he joined the Tennessee Air National Guard where he became a Combat Arms Instructor and joined the Murfreesboro Police Department as a Patrol Officer. In 1988 he joined the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department where he served his last nine years as the Rangemaster, Instructor and Armorer. He has completed several hundred hours of training in law enforcement firearms and military small arms, from handguns to belt fed machineguns and grenade launchers. He is a member and guest instructor for the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA) and the International Association of Firearms Instructors (IALEFI) where he is currently serving as a member of the board of directors. On February 1, 2006 he retired as a Master Sergeant and supervisor of the Combat Arms Training and Maintenance section of the 118th Security Forces Squadron. On August 1, 2014 he retired from the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. He has provided training to several thousand military and law enforcement personnel in the United States and internationally.
