About the Course
In this course, Tracy Ertl from HeroLight Training discusses the impact of seasonality and grief on telecommunicators’ job and emotional well-being. She will cover how different call types fluctuate throughout the year and how the holidays can intensify grief and loss for both the community and 9-1-1 professionals. She will also provide coping mechanisms and emphasizes the importance of seeking help and support.

Tracy Ertl
Tracy Ertl served for 28 years in public safety communications with Brown County Public Safety Communications in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She has served as an adjunct law enforcement instructor for APCO and is the owner of Titletown Publishing, a publishing company specializing in survival and police titles. She is also the founder of HeroLight Training where she is a trainer.
